Equity in the Workplace
Join us as we dive into what Equity in the Workplace means with DEI expert Frank Starling, CEO of Variety Pack and Magnus Drogell, CEO and founder of Pihr.
About the webinar
Equity in the workplace refers to the fair and just treatment of all employees, regardless of their personal characteristics or lived experiences so everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed and advance and that hiring, promotions and compensation decisions are based on merit rather than bias.
Equity also represents equal pay for equal work, where employees should be paid the same amount for the same job, regardless of their gender, race, or other personal characteristics. Unfortunately, studies have shown that there is still a significant gender pay gap of 13,1 % for European Union member states and a 14,9% gender pay gap in the UK, so efforts are needed to address the issue.
This 40 minute session will cover both of these topics, discussing why it’s important to drive equity in the workplace and ideas and tools you can use to help embed fairness into your policies and procedures. You will have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
